We have reached a milestone in CDANZ Entry Level Qualifications and Member Pathways Project and will be calling a Special General Meeting to vote on proposed changes in the new year. This meeting will be held via Zoom at 7pm on Tuesday 2 March 2021. Please read ELQ&MP Project Update 4 for further details.
Please note that this milestone brings to a close the work of the ELQ&MP Project Team. We thank Caroline Sandford, Robyn Bailey and Amanda Smidt for their extra-ordinary service on this project over the several years. Please direct any questions on Entry Level Qualifications and Member Pathways to Lauren Hughes (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Heather Lowery-Kappes (email@example.com).
In the same Special Meeting CDANZ National Executive Committee will also table three other remits. These will broadly cover:
- The standardisation of how the National Executive Committee are referenced in the Constitution. Presently there are some inconsistencies that that terminology that we would like to tidy up.
- A name change for CDANZ Corporate Membership to Organisational Membership to better reflect the nature of the organisations we are working with in this area.
- A requirement of all CDANZ members to be police vetted upon application, and to maintain a current police vet for the duration of their membership.
Eligible voting Members will receive the final remits for the Special Meeting on the 14th of February 2021. Prior to this the draft remits will be circulated on the 1st of February for final comment before the 10th of February. Any branches who wish to discuss the remits as a branch prior to the vote are encouraged to arrange a meeting in person or by zoom between 1 and 10 February.
Thanks for your continued involvement in the development of our association and the professionalism of our sector.
