Keith Marshall - Chief Executive - Careers New Zealand

Keith Marshall has commenced as the new chief executive of Careers New Zealand.

Keith is a past deputy chief executive of NZQA and the former chief executive of Nelson City Council. He has owned Thrifty Rental Cars NZ, managed the last nationwide health reforms, and participated in the NZ-China Free Trade Agreement negotiations.

The future of work: Understanding the implications and being prepared
Tim is director of the NZ Work Research Institute and AUT University's Future of Work Programme. He is also a proud associate member of Massey's Healthy Work Group and a visiting professor at Bournemouth University in the UK.

Alongside his other editorial roles, Tim is the incoming editor-in-chief of the Cambridge University Press journal, Journal of Management and Organisation. Tim’s background is in ergonomics and his major research interest is concerned with the role of organisational issues in employee wellbeing. Tim recently led a major trans-Tasman study on telework and much of his recent work has been concerned with the changing nature of work, and implications for both organisations and individual workers. Tim has more than 100 peer reviewed publications, many in leading international journals, and his research has been presented in several conference keynote addresses. His research on future of work and workplace bullying has been the subject of multiple media contributions, and has had policy impacts and informed organisational practice.
