Professional Learning

Professional development is an important tool in maintaining your professional practice. Events also enable to you build your professional networks. Associate and Professional members are required to submit a Professional Development Annual Review itemising at least 30 hours of professional development consisting of at least 20 hours structured and 10 hours unstructured professional development. Guidelines can be found on the Professional Development Annual Review page.

CDANZ regional branches deliver local events through the year and this is supplemented by CDANZ national events and webinar programme. CDANZ signature event is our annual National Symposium for Research and Leaeding Practice. This is delivered adjacent to our Annual General Meeting in Oct/November.

CDANZ also has affiliate relationships with many like minded organisations and we recommend our members look for relevant opportunities in their areas. Many such events are listed in the CDANZ fortnightly members e-newsletter. When selecting your professional development events and training please ensure that the course content is aligned with one or more of the CDANZ Career Competencies

Many resources are available to members after an event. These are posted on the event page when ready, or for more information please contact info@cdanz.org.nz.
